Course Content:
The qualification provides an engaging introduction to the world of travel and tourism, developing knowledge and technical skills. Pupils will explore some of the key areas within the sector, including accommodation, tourism development and promotion, transport and visitor attractions. Pupils will investigate the importance of the travel and tourism sector to the UK and study international travel and tourism.

A key focus is the development of skills, such as research, report drafting and writing skills and project management. Communication and numeracy skills are also developed during the course. Thinking skills are also developed through team work, creative thinking and reflective practices.

2 coursework assessments (50%), 1 controlled assessment (25%) and 1 examination (25%).
