Economics is for students who have an enquiring mind, it encases a lot of other subjects like politics, Maths, geography, and business. The course is for students who want to develop the skills, qualities and attitudes that will equip them for the challenges, opportunities and responsibilities of adult and working life.
Specific topics studied during the course include the nature of economics, how markets work, market failure and government intervention, national income and economic growth, costs and profits, international economics, poverty and inequality, emerging and developing economies and the financial sector.
