Qualification type: Level 3 GCE AS & GCE A

This new course encourages learners to develop confidence in, and a positive attitude towards, politics and to recognise its importance in their own lives and to society. The two year course will broaden knowledge and understanding of contemporary political structures and issues within Wales and United Kingdom. It will also look at knowledge and understanding of broader global political structures and issues.

In Year 13 students will develop their knowledge and understanding of the rights and responsibilities of individuals and groups. During your studies you will develop the ability to critically analyse, interpret and evaluate political information to form arguments and make judgments.

Progression routes: Politics, Philosophy, Economics at University Careers would include politics, journalism, law and teaching.
