Human beings are one of the most complex and fascinating mammals in the world. The study of psychology enables us to gain a better understanding of our own behaviour as well as other people. You will explore the explanations and causes to behaviour as phobias, obedience, depression and violence. You will consider questions such as: Can research on animals give us clues to why humans behave why they do? Is eyewitness testimony reliable in court? Are we more influenced by nature or nurture. The course allows for critical analysis of theories and research as well as how psychology has bee applied in everyday life.
