The specification is designed for learners who wish to know how to start up a business or social enterprise. Therefore, the mandatory units of the qualification reflect the essential aspects of starting and running a business. Optional units provide choice for specialisms in areas that will augment learners’ understanding of enterprise.

Progression routes: At the end of the course you may wish to run and expand your micro-business, or go onto further study at University or you may wish to move into employment or a Higher Apprenticeship – all of these are possible and within your reach within a maximum of two years.
