Thank you for your ongoing support. We work closely with parents, carers and the local community to ensure that our
school site remains as safe as possible for all our children.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind parents and carers of the importance of driving and parking safely during
morning drop off and afternoon collection times.
Princes Avenue is a busy main thoroughfare that is in constant use throughout the day. Unsafe parking can restrict
access along the road, reduce visibility for pedestrians, and create unnecessary risks for pupils and other road users.
We ask all drivers to park responsibly and avoid:
• Mounting pavements
• Double parking
• Stopping on yellow lines
• Obstructing crossing points, driveways, or access routes
Accidents can occur when visibility is reduced or when pedestrians are forced to navigate between parked vehicles.
We also ask that consideration is shown to local residents when parking near the school.
Could I also remind parents and carers to adhere to the speed limits around the school. Mornings are particularly busy
on Princes Avenue and in the main car park, and driving at an appropriate speed is essential to maintaining a safe
environment for everyone.
At the end of the school day, vehicles within the school site must remain stationary until it is safe to move. This will
usually be directed by the members of staff on duty who are responsible for managing traffic flow and ensuring the
safety of pupils, parents, staff and other road users. We ask for your patience and cooperation during this time, as
these measures are in place to protect everyone on site.
Finally, a reminder that pupils must not ride bicycles or scooters on school grounds. Bikes and scooters should be
dismounted and pushed until pupils have left the school site.
I would also add that we are working closely with North Wales Police to support the enforcement of these
expectations, including addressing issues such as parking on double yellow lines.
