Dear Parents, Carers, Pupils, and Staff,
RE: Conclusion of Executive Headteacher Role at Christ the Word
As this half term draws to a close, so too does my time as Executive Headteacher of Christ the Word Catholic School, on the 2nd November 2025 as planned. The appointment of their new Interim Headteacher Ms. Lucy Feliciello will allow the school to continue to improve and I am certain she will continue to drive the school forward with energy, vision, and care. I wish her every success and offer her my full support in this new role.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of the staff and Governors at Prestatyn High who allowed me to support at Christ the Word when they needed it. I would also like to thank all of the PHS staff who have also supported the improvements we have secured at Christ the Word. Special thanks to my Deputies; Claire Turner and Gavin Turner who have given so much of their time and energy to make sure we maximised the improvements. It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to support the Christ the Word community, and I am immensely proud of all that we have achieved. I have every confidence that he school will continue to thrive and build on this strong foundation in the months and years to come.
While I step back from the Executive Headteacher position, some support from Prestatyn High School will remain in place, and I will continue to offer guidance and assistance to Ms. Feliciello during this transition and beyond.
