Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to share some important and exciting news regarding the appointment of the new
headteacher of our amazing school. Following a thorough recruitment process, the Governing
Body is pleased to announce the appointment of Claire Turner as our new headteacher, effective
from the start of the next academic year, the first female to hold this post permanently.
Claire, our current deputy headteacher, brings a wealth of experience in education, strong
leadership skills, and a clear vision for continuing to build on the strengths of our school.
Throughout the selection process, she impressed us with her commitment to ensuring that every
child thrives, both academically and personally, within a supportive and ambitious school
community.
Over the coming weeks, Claire will be working closely with Neil Foley the current headteacher, all
staff, governors, and pupils to ensure a smooth transition. There will be opportunities for parents
and carers to meet the new headteacher early in the new academic year. We will share more
details about this later in the year.
We would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to Neil Foley for the hard
work, effort and amazing progress the school has made over the last ten years. The school is in a
very good position for the new headteacher to build even greater successes in the future.
We look forward to September and embarking on our next chapter together as a school
community.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs Lindsay Davenport
Chair of Governors
On behalf of the Governing Body
